Length of Training
A certificate program is available for individuals who are registered radiation therapy technologists with two years of related experience and for individuals who have a Bachelor’s degree and a medical background.

Licensure/Certification
There is no mandatory requirement for certification, but a voluntary certificate is offered by the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists. Certified Medical Dosimetrists are required to complete continued education programs to maintain their certification.
